Job Summary

Lead systems engineering execution on high-impact Department of Defense programs, providing technical and functional leadership across requirements, architecture, integration, and verification. Manage and allocate engineering resources to meet scope, schedule, and cost, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and risk management. Mentor and develop senior engineering talent, support bids and proposals with credible technical guidance, and ensure disciplined process compliance in a high-consequence environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers, providing technical direction using systems engineering principles across the full development lifecycle.
•Support engineering execution for scope, schedule, and cost, including direct involvement in project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk management activities.
•Ensure disciplined use of established development processes, lifecycle plans, and tools, including adherence to industry standards and compliance.
•Participate in bid and proposal activities by reviewing and providing technical guidance for proposal and capture activities.
•Make hiring and staffing decisions, conduct performance management, address personnel matters, and build a highly engaged engineering team.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
•Active and transferable DoD Top Secret U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start date.
•U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance under this program/contract.
•Experience in a project engineering or technical lead role with cost and schedule accountability, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
•Pursuing or completed graduate degree or participant in Leadership Development programs.
