Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain a 3-year AM technology and application roadmap aligned to priorities and TRL/MRL gates, including horizon scans and proof-of-concept studies.
•Run design-for-AM (DfAM) sprints (requirement capture, topology/lattice studies, cost-benefit modeling) and lead demonstrator builds to meet weight, performance, and cost targets.
•Provide authoritative design and process guidance; review high-risk build files, post-processing protocols, and qualification test plans; coach and develop engineers.
•Identify patentable inventions, manage invention disclosures, and coordinate filings with Legal.
•Ensure governance and compliance by tracking standards/certifications, and monitoring schedule, budget, and risk for application programs.

Key Requirements

•M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
•5+ years in additive manufacturing or advanced product development, with 2+ years at Principal/Lead level driving technology strategy and leading cross-functional teams.
•Demonstrated mastery of metal AM (PBF-LB, EBM, DED, or WAAM) and polymer/composite AM, including process qualification and certification pathways.
•Track record mentoring engineers and influencing executives.
