Senior FPGA/ASIC design and verification engineer in avionics, responsible for both RTL/verification development and DO-254 artifact creation. Hybrid onsite role in Cedar Rapids, collaborating across Engineering, Program Management, and customers to implement high-performance ASICs, FPGAs, and SoPCs for Collins Avionics across legacy and next-gen products.

Key Responsibilities

•Requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability.
•Develop RTL design code and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.
•Develop Hardware test case, procedures and integration.
•Define the verification strategy to be applied, such as on-Hardware verification environment, test frameworks and test tools.
•Perform ASIC/FPGA/SoPC verification using inspection, analysis, simulation, and test methods.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 86,800 - 165,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
•Experience writing RTL and test benches using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
•Experience with Linux (or Unix), scripting, C/C++, Python, and/or Perl.
•Experience using FPGA-specific tools (e.g., Questasim, Vivado, Libero, Synplify Pro, etc.).
•Experience with data interfaces (PCIe, DDR, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-429, etc.).
