Key Responsibilities

  • •Take full technical ownership of flight control actuation system design, defining requirements and owning verification traceability for FCAS.
  • •Resolve actuator and integration trades, including sizing and analysis of actuation systems (bandwidth, dynamic response, redundancy, and failure modes).
  • •Drive control-law and actuator interface integration with flight controls and vehicle management systems, including actuator dynamics modeling and authority requirements.
  • •Lead power/thermal and structural integration efforts, coordinating power source architecture and load/thermal interface resolution with EPS/hydraulic and structures leads.
  • •Define and execute FCAS qualification test plans per MIL-HDBK-516 and MIL-STD-810, and lead FCAS design-maturity and qualification-status reviews at SRR, PDR, and CDR.
