Key Responsibilities

  • •Test the validity of minable resources, including preliminary surveys of mineral deposits to determine feasibility of ore extraction.
  • •Determine suitable ore extraction methods based on depth of over-burden, altitude, and deposit characteristics.
  • •Verify recovery processes by consulting with geologists, metallurgists, and engineers on machines, facilities, systems, and mining infrastructure.
  • •Estimate capital and operating viability, preparing operation/project estimates, controlling expenditure, and participating in negotiation for new or existing mines.
  • •Compile monthly and yearly production statistical reports for management review, and support HSE adherence by monitoring/auditing activities and responding to incidents; ensure contractors are briefed on HSE regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
  • •4+ years’ experience in mining engineering, including mine operations experience in differing mining styles.
  • •Good knowledge of English.
