Job Summary

Technical Specialist responsible for HV/MV/LV electrical infrastructure at DP World Antwerp, providing the technical reference for maintenance, projects and operations. Develops maintenance strategies, oversees expansions and electrification, performs power/short-circuit studies, reviews contractor deliverables, and leads FAT/SAT and commissioning to ensure reliability, safety and compliance with IEC/AREI/Elia standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess the condition, reliability and remaining life of existing high-, medium- and low-voltage installations and translate findings into maintenance strategies, replacement plans and technical recommendations.
•Prepare technical specifications, scope of works and design criteria for expansions, renewals and electrification projects within the incoming net, distribution, transformation and low-voltage networks.
•Perform or validate power calculations, short-circuit studies and selectivity coordination, and contribute to protection concepts and settings for critical electrical installations.
•Evaluate technical offers, single-line diagrams, construction dossiers and documentation from contractors, suppliers and engineering partners.
•Lead FAT-, SAT-, commissioning activities and ensure correct energization with complete and reliable as-built documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor or Master in Elektrotechniek or equivalent with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with high-/medium-/low-voltage installations in an industrial, port or asset-intensive environment
•Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV networks, switching installations, transformers, cable systems, grounding, LV distribution, MCCs, UPS/backup power and frequency converters
•Experience with power calculations, short-circuit studies, selectivity coordination, protection relays and technical calculation software such as ETAP or similar
•Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations including IEC 61936, IEC 60364, IEC 61000, AREI/RGIE and Elia regulations; BA5 certificate or demonstrable equivalent
•Analytical, meticulous, proactive, able to work independently in an operational environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in Dutch and English
