Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize/validate HVAC equipment selection including size, configuration, voltage, and options by reviewing plans and specifications.
  • •Evaluate potential cost savings and/or cost problems on projects and validate project scope using transition documents, plans, and specs.
  • •Support sales with preliminary and final equipment submittals, including holding equipment consensus meetings and releasing submittals.
  • •Maintain competitive advantage by staying current on industry trends and negotiating material pricing with vendors.
  • •Prepare equipment for order entry, verify pricing, revise coordination worksheets, reconcile job costs, and provide post-order technical support through installation and warranty service.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Engineering Technology, or related fields, plus minimum 2 years of HVAC industry experience in project management or estimating; or 5+ years in the HVAC industry in those roles.
  • •Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls (preferred).
  • •Ability to review plans, specifications, original estimates, and proposals to optimize/validate HVAC equipment selection and configurations.
  • •Ability to evaluate cost savings and cost problems across projects and support EQ/VPP dollar breaks.
  • •Flexibility to work outside normal hours and maintain a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent violations.
