Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors deliver outputs within controlled risk conditions.
  • •Maintain planning systems and keep mine plans aligned with the 12-month plan and mining objectives.
  • •Develop the 3-month plan with enough detail for weekly loading, hauling, drilling, and blasting schedules.
  • •Create monthly plans for blending and ore flow, and adjust plans based on operating conditions and geological deviations.
  • •Construct terms of reference for monthly plan inputs, align infrastructure planning with short-term plans, and participate in reconciliation processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Manage safe and healthy working conditions within a controlled risk environment, including contractor outputs.
  • •Ensure the 3-month mine plan has sufficient detail to support weekly plans for loading, hauling, drilling, and blasting.
  • •Create monthly plans that cover blending and ore flow (crushing and stockpiling) for different material types and classes.
  • •Build plans in line with the Mine Health and Safety Act and mine regulations and keep tonnages, quality, rehabilitation, and safety aligned to longer-term plans.
  • •3-5 years of relevant mine planning experience with proficiency in Xecute, Surpac, and MicroStation (B Tech/Mining Engineering preferred).
