Job Summary

Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of immunization programmes and vaccination campaigns to reduce vaccine-preventable morbidity and mortality. Analyze immunization coverage and surveillance data (including equity gaps and zero-dose populations), strengthen VPD and AEFI surveillance systems, and contribute to outbreak preparedness and response. Prepare technical reports and strategic documents, support immunization system strengthening initiatives, and provide capacity-building inputs for DOH partners and immunization/surveillance officers.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical support for planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of immunization programmes, activities, and vaccination campaigns.
•Track key performance indicators, support corrective actions at national and subnational levels, and analyze coverage and programme performance data.
•Strengthen VPD and AEFI surveillance systems by monitoring priority diseases and supporting improvements to surveillance quality and performance indicators.
•Contribute to preparation and consolidation of national technical documents, reports, and materials for technical advisory group meetings and consultations.
•Support development and updating of immunization and VPD strategy documents, and help implement system strengthening initiatives (e.g., data quality assessments, EVM follow-up).

Key Requirements

•University degree in Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology or a related field.
•At least 2 years of relevant experience supporting immunization programme implementation and monitoring, including VPD surveillance and outbreak response.
•Sound knowledge of routine immunization systems, vaccination campaigns, and VPD surveillance standards.
•Ability to analyze immunization and surveillance data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
•Expert knowledge of English; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis/information systems (e.g., DHIS2, Epi Info, GIS, Stata) is an advantage.
