Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team, including compliant IEPs and state-required documentation.
  • •Communicate with parents and related service staff, maintain required records, and support learning coaches/parents with virtual classroom troubleshooting.
  • •Monitor student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system, collect work samples and data, and use results to drive remediation and enrichment.
  • •Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, including accommodations and modifications specified in the IEP, and support inclusion in general education classrooms.
  • •Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings (including annual IEP meetings) and prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 46,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree.
  • •Active Alabama 6-12 Special Education Teaching Certificate.
  • •Ability to clear a required background check.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint.
