Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans from outside referrals, owning the loan journey from application through closing. Build referral relationships and guide applicants through the process, completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and using systems such as Loan Prospector and LOMAS to access rates, review credit reports, and transmit packages. Manage an active pipeline, provide timely updates to branches and applicants, and meet mortgage sales and cross-selling objectives while following risk and compliance policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional and personal connections) to generate residential mortgage loan business.
•Take and process applications, completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and using systems to access rates, review credit reports, and respond via Loan Prospector.
•Collect required applicant documentation and deliver loan packages within management-set time frames.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and complete required management reports.
•Provide timely updates to branches and applicants, maintain customer service expectations, and participate in consumer lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration through NMLS is required at the time of employment.
