Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle full administration for a block of defined contribution retirement plans, including compliance and non-discrimination testing (ADP/ACP, 410(b), top-heavy, 415 annual addition limit, 401(a)(4) cross-testing).
  • •Calculate and allocate employer contributions, reconcile payroll contributions and employee census data for plan eligibility, and review/approve participant distributions and loan requests.
  • •Review QDROs and calculate alternate payee distributions; reconcile trust assets and contributions and interpret trust financial statements to resolve discrepancies.
  • •Complete and support government filings and audits for Forms 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA, 1099-R, and related schedules; validate work completed by others.
  • •Serve as primary client contact for assigned plans, assist with remittance of deferrals and employer contributions, and summarize plan data for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in business administration, business analytics, mathematical economics, finance, or related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree).
  • •Three to five years of directly related experience in retirement plan administration and consulting.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA as applied to qualified plans.
  • •Experience with Stax.ai, FT William, and PensionPro strongly preferred; familiarity with ASC is a plus.
  • •Preferred credentialing: ASPPA (QKA/QKS/QKC/QPA), NIPA (AKS/APA/APR), IRS Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), and/or NAPA (CPFA/QPFC).
