Job Summary

Lead technical delivery for mining infrastructure projects, specializing in pumping systems, pipeline networks, and water management. Own engineering design and hydraulic analysis, define system philosophy (pumping strategy, overpressure/surge protection), and provide technical assurance on deliverables including route selection, materials, wall thickness, and pipeline stress analysis. Interface with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across Australia and India, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with quality standards and Australian/international codes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design and analysis of pumping systems and pipeline/network systems (water, slurry, dewatering).
•Define system philosophy including pumping strategy, operating scenarios, and overpressure/surge protection.
•Provide technical assurance and review of key deliverables such as pipeline route selection, feasibility studies, material selection, wall thickness design, and pipeline stress analysis.
•Undertake and lead pipeline design work across concept/detail design deliverables (e.g., design calculations, hydraulic modelling, documentation, and commissioning plans).
•Mentor engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering excellence, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Requirements

•13-16 years of experience in process engineering.
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/civil engineering (preferred master’s).
•Strong experience in pumping systems and pipeline networks, including hydraulic design and system analysis.
•Experience working in a LEAN environment and strong attention to detail.
•C. Eng or P. Eng qualification would be an added advantage; excellent written and verbal communication in English.
