Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end credit application process, including analysis of financial statements, projections/modelling, and industry/competitor research.
  • •Partner with Relationship Managers to understand transaction structures and lending purposes, and support structuring of appropriate credit solutions.
  • •Identify and mitigate key risks by ensuring alignment with internal credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • •Manage and monitor a portfolio by tracking covenant compliance, monitoring credit quality trends, and supporting proactive credit management actions.
  • •Collaborate across HSBC with Wholesale Credit Risks, product teams, and enabling functions to support execution and facility management, while driving process excellence.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline (exceptional Bachelor’s candidates may be considered).
  • •Typically 1–6 years’ experience in credit analysis, wholesale lending, or relevant corporate finance; exceptional fresh graduates may be considered.
  • •Strong grounding in accounting, financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, credit assessment, and risk identification/mitigation.
  • •Ability to process large volumes of information and distil key issues, with strong prioritisation and time management.
  • •Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with excellent written and verbal English; proficiency in Excel and Word.
