Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop relationships with engineering firms, municipalities, industrial end users, OEMs, and project owners to position Ferguson as a preferred engineered plastics partner.
  • •Engage during conceptual and design phases to influence specifications and expand long-term project opportunities.
  • •Provide technical guidance on HDPE and engineered thermoplastic piping systems, including material selection, system layouts, joining methods, pressure ratings, and industry standards.
  • •Support engineering firms with system design, pipe sizing, routing recommendations, fusion methodologies, installation guidelines, and supporting documentation.
  • •Partner with Ferguson teams to support the full project lifecycle, including technical submittals, specification alignment, CRM pipeline capture, and engineering presentations/workshops.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5 years of engineering or technical experience supporting industrial piping systems, municipal infrastructure, process piping, mechanical systems, or HDPE applications.
  • •Working knowledge of ASTM, AWWA, ASME, FM, NSF, PPI, and applicable industry standards.
  • •Strong understanding of fabrication methods and thermoplastic joining technologies (e.g., butt fusion, electrofusion).
  • •Experience reading engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents; PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
