Job Summary

Serve as the first point of contact for clients, keeping their Windows-based IT infrastructure operational. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot and resolve standard/low-complexity incidents, and manage service requests via telephonic and ITSM ticket/chat support. Perform health checks, patching, and configuration changes, support backup and recovery, and contribute to disaster recovery testing while ensuring SLA compliance and seamless shift handovers.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor client infrastructure and solutions, identifying problems/errors before or as they occur.
•Perform daily server health checks and maintain server documentation.
•Create, modify, disable user accounts; reset passwords and unlock accounts; manage AD groups and permissions.
•Monitor backup jobs, assist with restores, and perform disaster recovery functions and tests.
•Apply patches/security updates, troubleshoot Windows server issues, and escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 while resolving tickets within SLA.

Key Requirements

•Matric / Grade 12.
•Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (advantageous).
•Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Fundamentals, MCSA/Windows Server, CompTIA Server+ (ITIL Foundation advantageous).
•1–2 years of IT Support, Desktop Support, or Infrastructure Support experience, with exposure to Windows Server environments.
•Experience with ServiceNow (or similar ticketing systems) and exposure to Active Directory administration.
