Key Responsibilities

•Own the end-to-end architecture of the security technology stack powering AppSec, SecOps, and GRC, integrating with broader Engineering, IT, and Infrastructure.
•Set technical direction for evaluating, integrating, standardizing, and retiring security tools using reference architectures and standards.
•Architect and automate security capabilities including centralized logging and detection data foundations (SIEM and pipelines).
•Partner with Engineering, IT, and Infrastructure to build security natively into shared platforms across cloud (AWS), identity, CI/CD, endpoints, and SaaS.
•Lead evaluation, proof-of-concept, and rollout of new security technologies and mentor engineers across AppSec, SecOps, and GRC.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 160,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Typically 7+ years in security engineering, security architecture, detection engineering, or security operations across multiple security domains.
•Demonstrated experience shaping end-to-end security technology stack architecture (platforms, data, and controls), not just operating a single tool.
•Deep hands-on cloud security expertise with AWS (GCP/Azure a plus), including IAM, network architecture, and infrastructure log analysis.
•Track record integrating security tooling and controls into Engineering/IT ecosystems such as CI/CD, identity, endpoints, and SaaS.
•Experience using infrastructure-as-code/detection-as-code (e.g., Terraform and CI/CD pipelines) and working knowledge of CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
