Job Summary

As a Solutions Engineer II for Cybersecurity/Cloud (Presales) in Switzerland, you’ll be a trusted advisor, designing and presenting cloud and security solutions to customers. You’ll engage during the sales cycle, gather requirements, craft proposals and demos, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and become a SME across Akamai’s technologies to drive revenue in the Swiss region.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.
•Engage with customers during the sales cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demos and proofs-of-concept.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.
•Support and advise internal cross-functional teams to ensure customers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions.
•Present technical topics effectively and work as a team player to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated ability to design and present cybersecurity/cloud solutions to customers, including cloud and internet technologies.
•Experience in engaging with customers during the sales cycle to gather requirements, develop proposals, design, delivery, demos and proofs-of-concept.
•Strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to become the go-to person for technical queries and to support updates and upgrades.
•Knowledge of Cloud and Internet technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design, plus security tech such as WAF, DDoS protection, Bots, Zero Trust.
•Fluency in German and English.
