  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.
  • •Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
  • •Leverage open-source and SaaS AI technologies including AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
  • •Develop state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, and throughput for large-scale production AI systems.
  • •Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 215,200 - 245,600 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/AI or related fields plus at least 4 years developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies, or a Master's degree plus at least 2 years developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.
  • •At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • •Strong ability to design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (e.g., foundation model training, LLM inference, guardrails, evaluation, experimentation, governance, observability).
  • •Deep technical foundation in engineering and mathematics with the ability to identify AI optimization opportunities.
  • •Ability to stay abreast of AI research and apply novel techniques judiciously in production.
