Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical design and CADD support to create substation designs and specifications for transmission and distribution infrastructure projects.
  • •Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing site, survey, blueprint, schematic, and specification data to support drawing development.
  • •Use CADD tools to prepare precise substation physical drawings (general arrangement/layouts, equipment plans, grounding plans, conduit/cable routing).
  • •Verify calculations and help interpret contract plans/specifications, escalating issues for resolution.
  • •Collaborate with engineers-in-charge and cross-functional teams to ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client/utility requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •3+ years of relevant post-education experience in substation design physical support for electrical power transmission and distribution projects.
  • •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship (including H‑1B, OPT, CPT, or other employment-based visas).
  • •Proficiency with drafting and design support principles, practices, and processes, including familiarity with applicable codes and compliance record-keeping.
