Job Summary

Own business resilience risk oversight for CIB Transaction and Payment Processing (TPP) across Hong Kong and Asia Middle East. Act as a subject matter expert for end-to-end payment lifecycle risk, providing second-line stewardship, credible risk challenge, thematic reviews, and guidance to embed risk management frameworks and incident management protocols. Collaborate with resilience risk specialists to review and mitigate risks related to third-party, data, transaction/payment processing, and business interruption/incident risk.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct and support CIB on business resilience risk management across third-party risk, data risk, transaction and payment processing risk, and business interruption/incident risk for Hong Kong and AME.
•Provide second-line risk stewardship and guidance, including independent review and challenge with resilience risk specialists and identification of material risks and mitigations.
•Serve as the subject matter expert for front-to-back Transaction and Payment Processing risk, covering end-to-end payment lifecycle, processing flows, controls, issues, and remediations; provide consolidated second-line risk views.
•Oversee emerging risks, strategic initiatives, local change activities, and new products to ensure potential risks are identified and managed effectively.
•Conduct thematic reviews focused on TPP risk and drive embedding of risk management frameworks and incident management protocols across sites.

Key Requirements

•Strong Payments and Transaction Banking expertise, including senior-level experience with payments products/services, end-to-end processing and controls, and impacts of outages and processing breaks.
•Ability to translate product and process knowledge into credible risk challenge by understanding what “good” looks like operationally for payments.
•Proven experience in Payments Risk, Business Risk and Control, Data/Third Party/Technology Risk, or Resilience/Incident Risk, ideally within financial services.
•Strong understanding of risk management by incorporating risk considerations into business activities.
•Highly analytical ability to interpret complex management information (e.g., volumes, exceptions, outage metrics, ageing, loss events) and turn it into actionable risk insights.
