Key Responsibilities

•Apply electrical engineering expertise from conceptual design and studies through to project completion
•Lead design efforts for electrical power distribution and control systems in industrial environments, including hazardous locations
•Prepare and review specifications and datasheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers and electrical equipment
•Conduct power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash) using tools such as ETAP or EasyPower
•Integrate safety, regulatory compliance, and risk analysis into all aspects of system design

Key Requirements

•5+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial projects
•Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in BC; eligibility for other jurisdictions is an asset
•Working knowledge of CSA, ANSI, IEEE standards and applicable codes
•Proficiency in power system modelling software and electrical design tools
•Ability to design distribution systems, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, fire alarm, heat tracing and cathodic protection systems
