Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and submit FOIA applications on behalf of current clients to obtain records relevant to immigration cases.
  • •Review and analyze FOIA responses and records to identify information relevant to clients’ immigration history and ongoing legal matters.
  • •Provide legal representation to refugee clients during refugee re-interviews and/or refugee adjustment interviews.
  • •Prepare clients for refugee re-interviews and/or refugee adjustment interviews by reviewing case history and discussing potential questions or issues.
  • •Develop and conduct Know Your Rights trainings for clients and/or community members regarding their rights when interacting with immigration authorities.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Licensed attorney in good standing with an active state bar membership.
  • •Provide limited-scope immigration legal services, including FOIA matters, refugee interviews, and refugee adjustment interviews.
  • •Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • •Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • •Able to build and manage a varied, demanding caseload with strong time-management, priority-setting, and organizational skills.
