Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content and teach the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
  • •Grade written and clinical performance check-offs for students.
  • •Stay current with new trends and developments in nursing practice.
  • •Travel to GCU student sites to directly observe student performance and maintain program accreditation compliance while upholding university principles.

Key Requirements

  • •BSN is required; BSNs must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU, OR meet an alternative graduate-credit/certification pathway as described.
  • •Minimum 3 years’ recent direct care work experience in pediatric nursing with a BSN.
  • •Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state (compact) RN license.
  • •Ability to pass required drug test and competency testing.
  • •Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
