Key Responsibilities

  • •Escort defendants to and from courtrooms, cells, and other court areas, including accompanying them to the toilet to ensure security and safety (handcuffed if necessary).
  • •Monitor and supervise detainees in the docks during court sessions to keep them secure and non-threatening.
  • •Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information and provide support to detainees while managing emotional wellbeing.
  • •Ensure detainees have access to food and drink and accommodate dietary requirements.
  • •Assist in monitoring and reporting detainee mental and physical health concerns to the appropriate authorities.
