Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out functional health assessments to help DWP understand how a claimant’s disability or condition affects daily life.
  • •Speak with claimants in a non-clinical environment (phone, face-to-face or online) and use active listening to produce accurate reports.
  • •Consult with treating healthcare professionals and others involved in care to ensure final reports are of high standard.
  • •Ensure final reports are accurate and produced in a timely manner to support DWP decision making.
  • •Collaborate with HAAS and DWP colleagues to deliver fair outcomes for claimants.

Key Requirements

  • •One year’s post-registration experience as a Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist
  • •Fully registered with a UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other) without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
  • •Excellent observational and communication skills
  • •Good overall IT skills with the ability to work quickly and produce reports in a timely manner
