Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and cook food, including portioning and garnishing, while following prescribed methods and maintaining cost control.
  • •Lead and motivate the Commis Chefs and support Chef de Parties in daily kitchen operations.
  • •Assume responsibility of the section and replace the Chef de Partie during his absence.
  • •Receive and examine foodstuffs supplies required for menus and report product overconsumption to monitor spoilage and wastage.
  • •Enforce UAE laws and Health, Safety & Environmental policies, follow emergency procedures, and maintain a clean, safe, hygienic workspace.

Key Requirements

  • •Higher Secondary or equivalent education.
  • •1–2 years’ experience in the same role, or 2 years as Commis I in a five-star hotel or similar.
  • •Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.
  • •Ability to work well with others and as an efficient team player with good attention to detail.
  • •Clear understanding of both written and spoken English; flexibility and ability to spend long hours standing.
