Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property claims, including coverage analysis and liability exposure assessment.
  • •Investigate claim damages using information from the insured, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and potential subrogation.
  • •Identify coverage concerns, review prior loss history, and determine when to create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals.
  • •Determine and negotiate complex claims settlements within authority limits; collaborate on settlements outside authority and manage outcomes accurately.
  • •Maintain thorough, current claim file documentation and support CAT response, including on-call duties and potential travel/field inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate-complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damage.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50–75% of the year (local and non-local) and/or perform catastrophe duty when needed.
