Key Responsibilities

  • •Support development and documentation of engineering requirements, specifications, and process controls for composite materials and structures.
  • •Assist experimental research involving characterization, processing, and testing of advanced composite materials.

  • •Participate in failure analysis activities and help define corrective and preventative actions for composite materials and processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Have completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2027.
  • •Be pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field focused on composite materials & structures.
  • •Have knowledge and/or hands-on experience with composite materials through coursework, experimental, or analytical training.
  • •Be familiar with materials failure mechanisms and testing standards for composites.
  • •Be able to analyze data using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar and communicate/present technical findings.
