Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure socio-economic development programmes comply with SHE standards and community/employee wellbeing risk management protocols.
  • •Design and implement outcomes-based community programmes aligned to sustainability priorities, adapting to local and regional contexts.
  • •Provide expert advice on impact-based programme development and delivery approaches, ensuring alignment beyond the immediate socio-economic pipeline.
  • •Support and maintain Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks to track impact, performance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • •Liaise with Finance, Governance, and Supply Chain to coordinate agreements, contracts, invoices, and timely payments while managing stakeholder dynamics with communities, NGOs, government, and private-sector partners.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 (or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s in Social Science / Development Economics (or relevant alternative on NQF7).
  • •Project Management Certificate.
  • •Social Impact Assessment / Social Management Certificate (advantage).
  • •6–8 years of professional experience in socio-economic development (preferably in mining, energy, or related industries).
  • •Valid SA Driver’s License and applied knowledge of SLAP delivery, programme design/implementation, and M&E frameworks.
