Key Responsibilities

  • •Repair and rebuild production machinery, including molds and dies, to improve running condition.
  • •Make component changes and fit/assemble parts to engineered drawings and required specifications.
  • •Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools to machine parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
  • •Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
  • •Document machined parts, record maintenance work in JDE PEM/Lotus Notes, and inform scheduling when molds will be down.

Key Requirements

  • •High school education or GED equivalent.
  • •Must be a Certified Journeyman Tool Maker or willing to complete an apprenticeship program.
  • •Ability to safely operate a forklift in high-traffic, low-clearance areas without posing a safety risk.
  • •Ability to lift up to 75 pounds multiple times per day and meet physical requirements including standing/walking up to 12-hour shifts.
  • •Able to perform and document tool and maintenance work, including using measuring instruments and following engineered drawings.
