Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the complete accounting lifecycle for compute and cloud infrastructure expenses through monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, journal entries, and expense/flux analysis.
  • •Review and interpret cloud service provider and infrastructure contracts to ensure correct accounting treatment, commitment tracking, and compliance.
  • •Apply ASC 842 expertise to complex compute infrastructure arrangements, including embedded-lease identification and reassessments.
  • •Scope and formulate accounting policies for recognizing, classifying, and amortizing compute costs across cloud provider arrangements.
  • •Lead process transformation and automation initiatives for close workflows, including accrual/prepayment processes, automated data pipelines/reporting, and reconciliation monitoring.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive accounting experience with cloud service or compute infrastructure spend and contract review exposure.
  • •CPA (or equivalent) with strong GAAP and technical accounting judgment.
  • •Working knowledge of ASC 842 as applied to compute, infrastructure, or data center arrangements, including embedded-lease identification and lease vs. service classification.
  • •Experience building accounting processes, controls, and policy in high-growth environments.
  • •Proficiency with modern ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, Oracle) and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
