Job Summary

Own the Customer Administration Engineering team’s secure, foundational customer data platforms and help evolve Control Center into an AI-agent-ready, headless operations system. Architect and deliver backend capabilities spanning MCP registries, AI orchestration, risk-based access automation, and HITL/evaluation frameworks. Lead design reviews, raise engineering quality through TDD and mentoring, and ensure reliability and observability across Tier-1 distributed services in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and deliver foundational platform capabilities including MCP tool registries, AI orchestration layers, risk-based access automation, and the away-team contribution model.
•Drive the evolution of Control Center into an AI-agent-ready, headless operations platform using MCP procedure constructs, agentic guardrails, HITL orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
•Partner with Engineering Manager and Product to define architectural roadmaps, author TDDs, lead design reviews, decompose initiatives into milestones, and raise the engineering quality bar through code review and mentorship.
•Build and maintain reliable, secure distributed backend services by owning SLO definitions, observability instrumentation, incident response, and operational readiness for Tier-1 systems.
•Collaborate across EAA engineering teams, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering to deliver cross-functional outcomes and shared platform primitives that reduce duplicated infrastructure.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience architecting and delivering large-scale, high-traffic distributed systems in production.
•Deep proficiency in backend service design and API development (gRPC, MCP, GraphQL), with scalable microservices architecture experience.
•Strong cloud-native backend stack experience including AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite/CircleCI, event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ), distributed caching (Redis/Memcached), and SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
•Track record building secure, compliant internal tools or platforms with security controls, access management, audit logging, and data governance in regulated financial services.
•Experience building or integrating with agentic AI systems, including MCP servers, LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, HITL workflows, and evaluation/guardrail frameworks.
