Own end-to-end strategic engagements for Perplexity’s Applied AI legal vertical, combining legal domain expertise with sales engineering. Key Responsibilities

•Lead discovery with law firms and in-house legal departments to identify problems worth automating and define the scope.
•Own success metrics, pilot design, and commercial structure, driving deployments and rollouts across practice groups with revenue responsibility.
•Build and deliver workflow-specific demos (legal research, contract review, due diligence, drafting, deposition/discovery summarization, regulatory monitoring).
•Prototype workflows, skills, and connector configurations in Perplexity Computer and the API Platform; run pilots and evaluations.
•Translate real legal processes into product and integration priorities, codify repeatable engagement patterns, and manage end-to-end sales motions from qualification through close.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 215,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

•3+ years of direct experience practicing law (litigation, transactional, or regulatory) or legal ops/legal innovation with deep workflow exposure, including diligence and drafting/negotiating agreements.
•5+ years total experience spanning legal plus technical GTM, sales engineering, solutions architecture, AI product strategy, or applied AI with customer exposure.
•Deep fluency in legal workflows including research, contract review, diligence, drafting, discovery, regulatory analysis, and matter management.
•Strong intuition for AI products, agents, and workflows, with the ability to understand technical systems.
•Ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into scoped, executable deployment plans with clear success metrics.
