Job Summary

Develop, optimize, and validate image processing algorithms and tuning tables to improve LaserJet print quality across mono/color and all-in-one products. Build and validate models/metrics (including psychometric scaling) that quantify image quality degradation in line with human perception. Own end-to-end image processing pipeline development, collaborate across software/firmware/hardware/mechanical teams, and lead root-cause analysis through verification, manufacturing, and field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, optimize, and validate image processing algorithms and tuning tables to improve print quality.
•Create and validate a psychometric scale to quantify image quality degradation aligned with human perception.
•Drive end-to-end image processing pipeline development (algorithm design, implementation, tuning, performance optimization).
•Partner with software, firmware, hardware, mechanical, and product teams to deliver best-in-class print and scanning image quality solutions.
•Integrate image quality tests into product verification; troubleshoot complex print/scan issues and perform root-cause analysis across domains.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or science with a strong physics background (preferred).
•Academic or work experience in computer science, mathematics, imaging, or color science (or related fields).
•No color vision deficiency.
•Strong programming experience with MathWorks MATLAB, Python, Microsoft PowerShell, Wolfram Mathematica (or similar).
•Ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively, and communicate progress and issue resolution with stakeholders.

Education:Master's in Engineering or science (Physics background preferred)
