Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and prepare work orders for multi-week equipment outage schedules across groups involved in corrective and preventive maintenance and capital/maintenance modifications.
  • •Coordinate with internal resources, vendors, and contractors to develop and execute work packages that maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • •Identify root causes, establish work scope for daily and project work, and develop accurate estimates and step-by-step job plans.
  • •Create and maintain effective multi-week and daily schedules and validate work order/job plan estimates against actuals to improve work management data.
  • •Build complete packages (including safety notices validated via walk-downs), manage backlog consolidation requests, and perform required purchasing/procurement tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline (or completion of two years of a four-year accredited engineering program) plus two years of mechanical, electrical, or instrument experience in a utility setting; OR high school diploma plus three years of estimating, scheduling, and planning experience in a power plant/electric utility/heavy industrial or heavy construction setting; OR high school diploma plus seven years in those equipment settings in a skilled trade or certified operating position.
  • •Develop accurate time and resource estimates and produce step-by-step job plans to complete work scope efficiently.
  • •Create and maintain multi-week schedules with milestone dates, validate estimates against actuals, and improve Maximo data.
  • •Build complete work packages, including safety notices validated through walk-downs, and manage backlog consolidation requests.
  • •Interpret P&ID’s, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and measuring/rigging and lifting equipment, using formal problem-solving methods and cost analysis knowledge.
