Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals while meeting management-set loan sales and cross-selling objectives. Focus on selling CRA products and services to low- to moderate-income individuals and areas, including non-profit organizations. Own the loan process from application through closing, manage risk in line with the bank’s appetite, maintain strong customer service, and run CRA prospecting, training seminars, and required reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals.
•Meet mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives, with focus on CRA products and services.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and complete required management reports.
•Collect applicant documentation and deliver loan packages within management time frames.
•Communicate timely updates to applicants and/or referral sources and participate in required consumer lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•Assumes overall responsibility for residential mortgage loans from application to closing.
•Develop CRA prospects and referral contacts (e.g., realtors, builders, professional/personal contacts).
•Maintain knowledge of mortgage company policies/procedures and loan products, processing, underwriting, and departmental guidelines.
•Conduct and coordinate homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations and conventional/government lending guidelines.
