Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain shipping documentation (invoices, bills of lading), facilitate routine truck service, report malfunctions, and arrange trailers in shipping yards.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Physical requirements: prolonged periods sitting, ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and ability to travel frequently.
