Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the premier Senior Network Engineer and regional technical authority for CONUS DHA networked facilities, providing escalation and coordination as required.
  • •Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues affecting MTF network availability, performance, and security for clinical mission support.
  • •Lead installation, configuration, documentation, tuning, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN devices, IDS/IPS, and related network infrastructure.
  • •Use SolarWinds/Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, and diagnostic tools (including MIB/MRTG concepts and packet/cabling tools) to isolate root cause and restore service.
  • •Implement and document STIG-compliant configurations and IAVA remediation; develop standards/SOPs and coordinate network security and configuration changes with stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/technical discipline (with 5+ years related experience) or technical/vocational completion with 10 years progressively complex related experience.
  • •DoD cyber workforce compliance aligned to DoD 8570.01-M; IAM Level III (or equivalent certification profile) required; CISSP (or equivalent) required; CCNP required.
  • •Mastery of enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN architecture and core protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and routing/wireless standards such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, RSTP, 802.1q, and 802.11.
  • •Hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure and tools including SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, and Ansible.
