Key Responsibilities

•Partner with engineers, energy team and finance to co-define long-term gas supply strategy and pipeline roadmaps, anticipating SpaceX's power demand 12–36 months ahead.
•Own end-to-end sourcing and contracting for natural gas supply, firm transportation, storage capacity, and pipeline capacity reservations to deliver >99.9% gas delivery reliability.
•Negotiate long-term commercial and precedent agreements with gas producers, marketers, and pipeline operators, including pricing, volume commitments, and interconnect rights.
•Lead pipeline project execution from sourcing through commissioning, coordinating with EPC contractors, regulators, and operators while upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards.
•Deploy predictive analytics and demand forecasting to anticipate price volatility and supply disruptions, mitigating risks before they impact power generation.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Business, Energy, Supply Chain, or Engineering; or 10+ years in these areas.
•5+ years of experience in natural gas supply, pipeline capacity management, energy procurement, utilities, or power generation (including gas/steam turbines).
•Deep technical and commercial understanding of natural gas markets, pipeline operations, firm/interruptible transportation, interconnect agreements, and behind-the-meter power plant fuel supply.
•Proven track record negotiating and managing natural gas supply contracts, firm transportation agreements, and infrastructure-related agreements.
•Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; this position is based in Austin, TX and requires being onsite.
