Job Summary

Support safe and reliable smelter operations at the Kennecott mine near Salt Lake City through mechanical engineering, defect elimination, and root cause analysis. Partner with maintenance, operations, reliability, and project teams to troubleshoot issues, improve safety, asset performance, and reliability, and provide technical input for capital project validation and delivery. Reconcile production loss accounting data to find improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

•Initiate and facilitate root cause analysis to mitigate acute and chronic asset failures.
•Apply defect elimination and failure analysis methods to reduce repeat issues and improve equipment performance; reconcile production loss accounting data to identify improvement opportunities.
