Key Responsibilities

  • •Support US fresh and packaged meat facilities by collaborating with facilities teams and project engineering on capital infrastructure plans.
  • •Assist with the design and implementation of refrigeration-related resolutions, including selecting equipment, obtaining quotes, and scheduling work.
  • •Plan and budget utility engineering improvement projects and optimize utility systems based on facility operating requirements.
  • •Research and test new technologies; assess complex operations and systems to support operations management.
  • •Identify and correct deficiencies in existing systems using load/charge/relief calculations and lead multiple improvement efforts while following protocols.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 5+ years of related experience in operations, maintenance, and optimization of ammonia refrigeration systems (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •RETA CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) certification (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) or ANSI/IIAR2 and Garden City Program Operator II certification (or equivalent ammonia training program).
  • •Deep theoretical understanding of industrial refrigeration systems and the ability to apply it to the role’s responsibilities.
  • •Strong reading, math, writing, and analytical skills.
  • •Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently with minimum supervision.
