Job Summary

Own oversight of an approximately $1B real estate portfolio, including third-party funds, co-investment SPVs, and directly held assets with a commercial (hospitality) focus. Act as the primary analytical and operational interface to the Investment Committee, challenging assumptions, monitoring budgets and liquidity, performing variance and scenario analysis, and producing IC reports and dashboards. Lead site visits and development monitoring, enforce reporting standards, and support governance and decision-ready investment memos.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and oversee third-party managed funds, reviewing monthly reporting, benchmarking performance, identifying emerging risks, and escalating deviations.
•Challenge underwriting assumptions (cap rates, exit yields, rent growth, occupancy, development timelines, construction budgets) using market data and comparable evidence.
•Oversee SPVs and direct investments by reviewing budgets, liquidity forecasts, cash flow projections, capital requirements, and drawdown/capital call schedules; escalate material liquidity and cost issues.
•Manage development project monitoring, including structured site visits, schedule/milestone and cost-to-complete review, and maintaining a project risk register with mitigants.
•Support IC decision-making with monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting, portfolio and asset dashboards (KPIs such as occupancy, RevPAR, GOP), scenario/sensitivity analysis, and investment memoranda.

Key Requirements

•8–12 years of progressive real estate investment management, asset management, or an adjacent field (e.g., real estate private equity or institutional asset management).
•Experience managing a scaled real estate portfolio (ideally €500M+).
•Strong working knowledge of closed-end/open-end fund structures, governance, capital calls, distributions, and GP/LP dynamics.
•Ability to oversee SPVs, directly held investments, and third-party operating partners, with accountability for performance and reporting.
•Hospitality real estate exposure is strongly preferred, including underwriting, operator negotiations, or hotel asset management.
