Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with Transaction Managers and Directors on pricing and execution of bulk annuity transactions.
  • •Lead production of cashflow and pricing models for BPA transactions, ensuring robust controls and processes.
  • •Partner with other teams to support BPA pricing and execution deal-by-deal, including reinsurance, asset management, capital management, and operations.
  • •Work with the Deal Lead to navigate complexities and non-standard requests and drive solutions.
  • •Develop, coach, train, and support junior members; build, document, run, and maintain actuarial models; present technical content to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Actuary.
  • •Practical experience of actuarial cashflow modelling, including development of models for bespoke projects and applying actuarial methodologies to set assumptions.
  • •Excellent technical knowledge of defined benefit pensions, including GMP benefits, franking, and deferred member benefit calculations.
  • •Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • •Appreciation of financial services and regulatory environment (including Solvency II and Matching Adjustment) and experience of bulk annuity modelling and pricing.
