Lead Structural Engineer for Power Generation projects designing foundations and structural systems for solar farms, battery facilities, substations, and large generation equipment. Coordinate with drafters/designers, engage with regulatory bodies and clients, and travel 5-10% to project sites as needed to ensure safe, compliant construction and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Design light foundations and structures for solar farms, battery energy storage facilities, and substation projects
•Design heavy foundations and structures for large power generation projects: generators, turbines, transformers, pipe racks, gas compressors, metal building systems, and masonry walls/buildings
•Design structural steel systems for buildings, platforms, equipment supports, etc.
•Coordinate design requirements with drafter/designers
•Occasionally travel to clients and projects/sites to interface with clients, verify existing conditions, and monitor construction progress (5-10% travel)

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
•7+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience
•Professional Engineer (PE) license
•Experience with power generation, transmission, and distribution projects
•Proficiency with discipline-specific design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, RISA, STADD)
