Key Responsibilities

•Design and specify Data Center Heat Rejection and HVAC systems tailored for data centers, including cooling loads, airflow management, humidity control, redundancy, energy efficiency, and standards compliance
•Select appropriate air/water side cooling systems (CRAHs, CRACs, in-row cooling, fan walls, containment) based on data center requirements
•Conduct CFD analyses to optimize airflow, identify hotspots, and simulate campus-wide effects; coordinate changes with other trades
•Incorporate redundancy and fault-tolerance features for continuous operation, including backup cooling and automatic switchover
•Perform heat load calculations and capacity planning to accommodate IT equipment growth and phasing

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education; P.E. registration is required
•Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation
•Knowledge of data center HVAC systems, heat rejection and cooling load calculations, and system redundancy
•Proficiency with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and airflow optimization for data centers
•Strong collaboration with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate HVAC with UPS and critical infrastructure
