Job Summary

Security Engineer role to build and strengthen security foundations in a fast-moving healthcare startup. You’ll own cross-domain security programs across product, infrastructure, detection and response, and enterprise security, collaborating with teams to close gaps and mature an end-to-end security posture in a 4-day in-office SF setup.

Key Responsibilities

•Help build the company’s foundational security program across multiple domains, with a focus on practical improvements that strengthen overall security maturity.
•Work on cloud and infrastructure security initiatives, helping identify gaps, improve configurations, and support a secure environment in a primarily cloud-based setup.
•Contribute to detection and response efforts by helping establish monitoring, incident response, and related operational security processes as internal capabilities are developed.
•Support product security work, including reviewing code or infrastructure patterns, identifying security issues, and partnering with engineering on remediation.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to implement security projects, improve coverage, and drive progress on high-priority initiatives.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of relevant security experience.
•Experience in product security, infrastructure security, detection and response, or enterprise security.

•Ability to perform technical security work such as reviewing code, assessing infrastructure for gaps, and supporting security automation through scripting.
•Must be able to work in San Francisco in a 4-day in-office setting.
