Job Summary

Support environmental and engineering clients by applying GIS analysis to create figures and maps from imagery, LiDAR, and other geospatial sources. Collaborate with project teams in a production-focused setting to develop geospatial products, maintain data quality, and contribute to reports for a variety of engineering and environmental projects.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Will perform geographic and non-geographic data manipulation, management and analysis, cartography, and develop/use automated GIS processes using a variety of software environments.
•Revise existing GIS layers and create new layers following established standards and procedures.
•Work with raster and vector feature layers and attributing features to conform with required table information.
•Correct geospatial location of features based on aerial photography or topography.
•Create high quality maps, GIS analysis, and data for reports to support a variety of Engineering and Environmental projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field.
•Analytical skills, familiarity with research techniques, modeling data, scanning and digitizing files, and experience maintaining records and databases with assigned projects.
•Familiarity with ESRI’s Arc GIS platform.
•General awareness of AutoCAD, Python, Visual Basic, Arcade, or SQL programming.
•Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.
