Job Summary

Seasoned mechanical designer responsible for 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting for mining processing plants. Produce detailed drawings using Aveva and other CAD tools, design conveyor and BMH layouts, and ensure alignment with project schedules and drafting standards in a safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Primarily undertake 3D CAD design modelling and 2D drafting annotations for mining processing plant equipment.
•Model 2D vendor drawings into 3D models and produce detailed mechanical drawings aligned with project schedules.
•Ensure drawings meet established drafting standards and are suitable for fabrication and construction.
•Collaborate with consultants, other disciplines, and project managers to meet client objectives in a timely manner.
•Maintain safety and environmental considerations in all design and draughting activities.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 to 8 years mechanical design experience in the mining and minerals processing area, in both design office and field.
•Knowledge of Mineral Processing Plant equipment (primary/secondary/tertiary crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, stockpiles)
•Good understanding of belt conveyors and their components
•Strong CAD skills with experience in 3D design and drafting procedures
•Experience with Aveva and 3D layout, plus knowledge of fabrication, construction and operations
