Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the strategic roadmap for selected commodities including machined components, electromechanical systems and controls, shielding, thermal management, turbomachinery, fuel, and others.
  • •Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers across commodities to build a supply base supporting prototyping and full-rate production.
  • •Partner with responsible/manufacturing engineering and suppliers to review drawings and provide feedback on design for manufacturing.
  • •Coordinate with quality teams on supplier onboarding compliance, quality/documentation requirements, nonconformances, and supply-chain procedures.
  • •Lead make-versus-buy decisions and build should-costing analyses and reporting/metrics to manage critical path items and near-term prototyping actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science/math/physics (or related) plus 3+ years in design or manufacturing engineering, supplier development/quality, or supply chain management.
  • •Alternatively, 5+ years in design or manufacturing engineering, supplier development/quality, or supply chain management.
  • •3+ years of supply chain management or manufacturing experience for complex systems and assemblies.
  • •3+ years of experience in aerospace & defense, automotive, semiconductor, or energy industries.
  • •Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary to support critical milestones.
